ND HEROES FIRST EVER CLUB FROM NEW DELHI TO QUALIFY FOR FED CUP

 

New Delhi Heroes have become the first club from the Capital to qualify for the main round of the Federation Cup under the qualification system (Mughals FC had qualified in 1995 through a direct entry for being the DSA champions).

 

ND Heroes will now be playing in the Pre-quarterfinal League which will be held in kolkata. The team is placed in Group- ‘C’ where it will be battling it out with top I League teams East Bengal Club, JCT and Sporting Club de Goa.

 

Chima, however, feels the tougher the opponents the better will it be. “That makes it even better.” His team is now the defending DSA champions within a year of being taken over by a corporate group, and the Nigerian thinks the overall atmosphere has played a big role.
